Our international conference, Innovative Approaches to Tobacco Control, took place on the 10th and 11th of October 2012 at St David's Hall in Cardiff. We welcomed speakers and delegates from across the UK and as far afield as the US and India.
The conference also included a youth summit with youth ambassadors talking about their campaigns on issues such as plain packaging and smoke-free playgrounds as well as initiatives to help young people, pregnant women and those with mental ill health to quit smoking.
We also showcased our smoke-free businesses project which is helping companies across Wales to introduce smoke-free policies in the workplace and quit smoking support for staff.
Many thanks to Julie Morgan AM, Chair of the Assembly's cross-party group on children, for officially opening our conference, to all our speakers, volunteers and staff for helping to make the conference a success. #ashconf2012 was definitely one to remember!
