ASH Wales will be supporting the Welsh Government with the quit smoking campaign that has prompted more quit attempts than any other. Stoptober was launched in 2012, and was the first mass quit attempt campaign of its kind.

This year it will be launched in Wales as well as England on September 9th to prepare people to quit on October 1st. The Welsh Government is working in partnership with Public Health England to extend the reach of the Stoptober campaign as part of its plan to reduce smoking prevalence in Wales to 16% by 2020.

Those taking part in Stoptober will receive a 28-day step-by-step guide to support them in their quit attempt.

How can you get involved?
